Want a rewarding role where you make a real difference every day? Community Access Care is urgently seeking compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join our team in Toowoomba.
You will provide support in a range of shifts, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and community settings, assisting participants to live independently and engage in meaningful activities. This includes helping with daily living tasks, personal care, transport, and implementing behaviour support strategies for individuals with complex needs.
This position requires:
* Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and implementing behaviour support strategies.
* Ability to provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and hygiene assistance.

What You'll Do
* Daily Living: Assist participants to build independence using a person-centered approach.
* Transport: Help participants access community activities, appointments, and social outings.
* Domestic Duties: Support with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping.
* Behaviour Support: Implement PBSP strategies for individuals with complex needs.
* Personal Care: Provide assistance with toileting, bathing, oral hygiene, and other personal care tasks.
What We're Looking For
* Genuine empathy & a positive attitude
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (including afternoons, sleepovers, and weekends).
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or similar - preferred but not mandatory.
* Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or community services (6+ months preferred but not essential for the right candidate).
* Ability to complete shift notes and incident reports using your phone, tablet or computer.
* Team player with a willingness to pick up extra shifts.
* Hope & Healing Certificate for Youth (We can assist with this).
Mandatory Requirements
Before starting, you must hold or be eligible to apply for the following (at your own expense and maintain them throughout employment):
* QLD Working with Children Card - No Card/No Start
* NDIS Worker Screening Check - No Card/No Start
* Valid and current First Aid and CPR Certification
* Valid Driver's Licence & Comprehensive Car Insurance
* Completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module & Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module
* The right to work in Australia
