**Shape the Future of Safety: Join the Explosives Legislation Reform Project**

**Are you passionate about policy? Energised by the challenge of transforming outdated laws into a modern, streamlined legislative framework?**
If so, this is your moment. SafeWork SA is leading one of South Australia's most significant legislative reform projects and we're looking for two exceptional individuals to help bring it to life.

**Why This Project Matters**
The **Explosives Act 1936** served its time—but the world has changed. For decades, fragmented amendments and outdated enforcement provisions have created unnecessary complexity for industry and regulators alike. In 2024, SafeWork SA led the charge to modernise this framework. The result? The **Explosives Act 2024**—a bold, forward-thinking piece of legislation that:

- Enhances safety and security controls
- Strengthens regulatory capability, and
- Aligns South Australia with national best practices.

Now, we're building the regulatory ecosystem to support it: one set of regulations, a regulator standard, and practical codes of practice—all set to launch by **1 July 2026**.

**Be Part of the Team Driving Change**
We're hiring for two pivotal roles in the **Explosives Legislation Reform Project**:
**Policy Writer**

**Principal Policy Officer**
Lead high-level policy and legislative work on complex work health and safety and industrial relations matters. Your expertise will shape the future of regulatory practice in South Australia.

**Why Join Us?**

**Impact**: Your work will directly influence public safety and industry standards across the state.

**Innovation**: Be part of a once-in-a-generation legislative transformation.

**Collaboration**: Work alongside passionate professionals in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.

**About the Business**
