The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is a comprehensive, sophisticated central corporate services agency that undertakes a unified enterprise-wide approach to delivering corporate and digital services to Northern Territory Government (NTG) agencies.
DCDD's Agency Procurement Services provides centralised procurement advisory and support services in accordance with their Service Statement, NTG Procurement Framework and Buy Local Policy.
As a Principal Procurement Advisor (SAO1), you will facilitate procurement planning and sourcing strategies and provide strategic advice on innovative procurement solutions that deliver increased efficiencies and outcomes for Government.
Your high-level working knowledge and understanding of procurement management principles, policies and legislation, and demonstrated leadership will position you as a subject matter expert in your field. This expertise will assist you supervise and support a team of procurement advisors delivering procurement services to government agencies, including preparing procurement planning, sourcing and contract administration documentation.
In addition, your high-level interpersonal and communication and negotiating skills along with your ability to work collaboratively and constructively will assist clients achieve effective and efficient procurement processes and outcomes.
High-level written skills with the ability to prepare documentation demonstrating a high degree of attention to detail including procurement documentation, reports and brief is essential.
Completion of, or progress toward, an Advanced Diploma of Procurement Contracting or relevant qualifications will be well received.
