Cloud & Application Engineer – Perth | Leading Mining Client
We're working with a leading mining company in Perth seeking a skilled Cloud & Application Engineer to design, build, and manage applications across cloud, OT/Edge, and research computing environments.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and manage applications across cloud, OT/Edge, and research computing environments.
* Proven experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes.
* Strong background in API development and integration.
* Hands-on expertise with data-intensive and high-performance computing applications.
* Proficiency in AWS cloud and cloud-native services.
* Strong coding skills in Python and TypeScript.
* Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
* Experience building automated DevOps workflows and release processes.
Bonus Skills
* Familiarity with open-source observability platforms.
* Knowledge of application security best practices.
* Exposure to scientific computing environments and workflows.
* Understanding of containerisation for research applications.
TheirTech Stack
GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes (OpenShift/Managed), Cloud, Linux, Python, PowerShell, Bash, plus open-source monitoring stacks and specialist research software.
