The Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP), a subsidiary of the multi-award-winning, Australian-owned healthcare provider, Aspen Medical, plays a key role in supporting the Australian Government's rural workforce capacity agenda by delivering essential healthcare services to rural and remote regions.
We are seeking experienced and motivated
Aged Care Facility Managers
for short-term placements across aged care services in rural and remote Australia. These rewarding placements offer the opportunity to provide leadership and stability in facilities where your expertise is most needed.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Overseeing the operational and clinical management of residential aged care facilities in accordance with organisational policy and government regulations.
* Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
* Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, ACFI, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement frameworks.
* Maintaining accurate records, reports, and clinical documentation aligned with current legislation and internal procedures.
* Supporting and mentoring staff to promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence in care.
* Managing facility budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively.
* Engaging with residents, families, staff, and the wider community with compassion and professionalism.
Essential criteria:
* At least two years' experience in aged care management, including recent (within the last 12 months) experience as a Facility Manager in a Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF).
* Demonstrated knowledge of ACFI, aged care funding models, Quality Standards, and accreditation processes.
* Valid Australian driver's licence.
* Current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain prior to placement.
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration is highly desirable but not essential.
