This is an opportunity for an experienced actuarial professional to support the Head of Actuarial Valuation and play a pivotal role in shaping Greenstone's commercial financial strategy. As Valuation Actuary you will be central to delivering high-quality actuarial analysis and insights that inform strategic decision-making across our organisation.
The successful person will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Greenstone's embedded value models, an essential component of Greenstone's broader data-driven strategy. Working closely with leaders across the business, this role will contribute to company-wide initiatives, product development, and service offerings.
What are we looking for?
* Tertiary qualifications in mathematics or a related technical discipline, combined with an actuarial qualification (AIAA or higher)
* 3+ years' relevant actuarial or analytics experience (life insurance experience advantageous but not essential)
* Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving skills with a conceptual understanding of a range of statistical and machine learning modelling techniques
* Ability to clearly communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience managing large-scale data and model systems, with hands‐on coding capability (SQL and Python preferred)
* Strong understanding of the linkages between actuarial outputs and finance data and systems, ensuring consistency between valuation, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Experience in a fast‐paced, entrepreneurial, data‐driven environment (such as consulting or a start‐up) is highly valued
