We are seeking an experienced purchasing lead to work with an exclusive company.
Our client has been involved with mining services for over 85 years, delivering world-class solutions across Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. They partner with clients to provide safe, sustainable, and innovative services, from mine planning and operations to rehabilitation, with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental services.
What you will be doing
As the Purchasing Lead, you will work closely with the internal purchasing hub to ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with standardized processes and procedures.
Your role will include:
* Setting and managing KPIs
* Allocating resources for operational activities
* Procurement
* Providing training on purchasing policies and systems, and addressing procedural issues through targeted interventions.
What you will need
You will need to have leadership experience to assist with setting performance expectations, conducting reviews, and coaching team members to meet KPIs while upskilling and addressing underperformance when necessary. You will also assist with overseeing the purchasing hub's budget, ensuring cost control, and supporting a safety-conscious and environmentally responsible culture.
* 8-10 years of previous experience working within purchasing and procurement
* Experience using JDE
* Experience using Oracle
* Other procurement and purchasing systems are highly beneficial
* Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting
* Previous leadership experience
