C3Talent is partnering with the North West Hospital and Health Service to appoint a Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE). Reporting to the Hospital and Health Board, this executive leadership role carries full accountability for the delivery of safe, high-quality and sustainable healthcare services across one of Queensland's most geographically vast and culturally diverse regions.

Based in Mount Isa, the HSCE leads a complex health system delivering services across regional hospitals, remote hospitals, multipurpose health assets and primary health clinics throughout the region.

The Opportunity

As Health Service Chief Executive you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the health service, ensuring strong clinical outcomes, workforce capability and financial sustainability.

* Leading the executive team responsible for hospitals, remote services and corporate functions
* Delivering improved health outcomes and access to care across remote communities
* Advancing health equity initiatives in partnership with First Nations communities
* Strengthening workforce capability, culture and retention across a geographically dispersed health service
* Managing an annual operating budget of approximately $314 million and a workforce of nearly 1,000 staff
* Ensuring strong clinical governance, patient safety and organisational performance
* Building trusted relationships with clinicians, communities, government partners and stakeholders

You will work closely with the Hospital and Health Board and Queensland Health to deliver strategic priorities while ensuring the service remains responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

About the North West Hospital and Health Service

The North West Hospital and Health Service delivers public healthcare across a vast and geographically dispersed region of north-west Queensland. * Strong workforce capability and retention across the service
* Financial discipline while expanding service capability

About You

You are an experienced executive leader with a track record of delivering results in large and complex organisations.

You bring the judgement, resilience and political acumen required to lead in a demanding regional environment.
