Project Officer Position Overview
The Project Officer position is a key role within our organization, responsible for the effective management and implementation of road maintenance projects. As a seasoned professional in contract management and project delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the delivery of maintenance and construction works on state roads.
About the Role
* Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the effective management, implementation, and monitoring of road maintenance projects
* Ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirements
* Maintain quality standards and support the delivery of maintenance and construction works
* Prepare works proposals and scopes of work, monitor projects, and ensure quality and safety compliance
* Deliver RMCC specific inductions and training, and be the key contact for the community in regard to RMCC projects
Requirements
* Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in contract management, specifically in road maintenance and construction projects
* Knowledge of Transport for NSW standards, specifications, and processes
* Proficiency in preparing and managing traffic and maintenance plans (TMP, TGS, ROL, SZA)
* Experience in quality assurance, WHS, and environmental compliance
* Strong project management skills, including developing scopes, budgets, and timelines
* Proficiency in using asset management systems such as Reflect
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
