Scholarly Communication Professional Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced scholar to join our team as a Manager, Scholarly Communication and Research Outputs. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of scholarly communication and research outputs at Deakin University.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the implementation of the Position Statement on Open Research, which was recently launched by the university. You will work closely with the Information Leadership Team to ensure that the recommendations from the Open Access and Research Data Management Taskforces are implemented effectively.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the scholarly communication landscape. The successful candidate will be able to analyze complex issues, identify inclusive solutions, and translate them into clear goals. They will implement and evaluate continuous improvement strategies to enhance service delivery and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scholarly communication, research support, and library services. They must have experience working with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, faculty members, and students. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as librarianship or information science, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
