About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Executive Chef to help lead kitchen operations, develop seasonal menus, and ensure a consistently high standard of food preparation, taste and presentation. You'll help mentor junior kitchen staff, assist in managing day-to-day prep and service, and contribute ideas that elevate our food and wine experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and collaborate with the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, maintaining a positive and efficient team environment
* Assist in menu planning with a focus on local produce and wine pairings
* Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen hygiene compliance (HACCP)
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Sous Chef or Senior CDP role
* Passion for food and wine
* Creative, organised, and calm under pressure
* Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach
* Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or above)
