Are you nearing completion of a Strategic Planning or Urban Planning degree?
Through starting your career in Local Government, you will have the opportunity to develop specialist technical skills within a supportive team.
The cadetship is a structured training and development program for students who have satisfactorily completed at least 8 subjects or approximately 50% of the relevant tertiary course.
This opportunity includes undertaking part-time study in a relevant tertiary course while being mentored during practical work experience in the work areas of strategic land use planning, recreational planning, and development contributions planning in one of the most rapidly developing cities in NSW.
Council's Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program aims to grow Council's skilled workforce capacity by creating job opportunities and a talent pipeline for specialised roles and to develop future leaders by providing employment opportunities and professional development experiences that support and complement a related course of external tertiary study. Council's cadets, apprentices or trainees receive ongoing training, guidance, and support from workplace mentors while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
