Be a part of a Local Council as a Project Support Officer - Business & Admin, assisting the Business Manager, providing client services, building maintaining positive relationships and assisting in developing, maintaining and promoting the facility as a centre of excellence in performing arts, events and exhibitions in the Western Sydney region.
- 4-month contract (with possible extension)
- 9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
- $37 per hour + super
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and operate business systems in the management of records maintenance, processes and reporting.
- Reconcile and prepare accurate and timely financial and statistical data for business analysis and reporting purposes.
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable functions through receipting and direction to Council Accounts Payable.
- Ensure financial transactions and records comply with CoP procedures, audit and governance requirements at all times.
- Process data of financial transactions for goods and services using Council procurement systems in accordance with Council procedures in required time frames.
- Prepare accurate and timely reconciliations for allocated event settlements of monies for hirers and promoters and prepare and issue tax invoices and other required documents to hirers and promoters in required time frames.
- Ensure communications to Debtors are documented and records maintained and assist with the timely collection of outstanding funds.
- Record Petty Cash claims and submit to approval, and reconcile and recoup Petty Cash float.
- Actively contribute to the day-to-day work output of the finance and administration team as required.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as and when required.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- Relevant qualifications in Business / Finance / Arts Administration or other related field
- 3 years relevant experience
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Microsoft office proficiency
- Proficiency in Business IT systems
- Understanding of effective customer / client services
- Knowledge of Australian performing arts industries
- Demonstrated high proficiency in attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and fixed deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to work as part of a small team
