Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to learn a specialized skill? We’re looking for a hands-on team member to join our production team at Mastercut Technologies as a Chemical Etching Factory Hand.
About Us:
Operating for over 30 years, Mastercut Technologies, owned by Marsh Alliance are in Burleigh Heads, and specialize in signs, laser cutting and precision part fabrication. We customize metal shims to customer specifications through laser cutting and acid etching. Our clients include major manufacturers such as Fisher & Paykel, Robert Bosch and British Aerospace (BAE), both in Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be working in a controlled environment to produce high-precision components using the chemical etching process. You’ll be involved in prepping metal sheets, applying masking materials, monitoring chemical baths, and handling etched products with care and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safe operation of chemical milling etcher machinery and measuring equipment to ensure manufactured parts conform to dimensional tolerances.
* Fabrication (cutting and drilling of stainless and other steels).
* For the quality and quantity of products produced as per job specifications.
* Handle all materials and chemicals in accordance with safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for yourself and others.
* Dispatch duties and packaging of Goods.
* General workshop and housekeeping duties.
* Always Working within our requirements for Quality ISO9001 and Safety 45001 Standards.
* Assist within the factory at times of peak workload, under the supervision of the Production Supervisor
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications & Skills:
* Strong interest in manufacturing, engineering, lab work, or metal finishing is essential – full training provided.
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential – training can be provided.
* Comfortable working with chemicals and PPE.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and deliver clear, concise information to different audiences.
* Proficient computer skills required to effectively operate dispatch software as part of daily responsibilities.
* A practical and commercial mindset, with the ability to apply knowledge to real-world challenges and assist in problem-solving.
* A proactive team player who’s willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity to ensure high-quality production and precision work.
* Solid time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines and communicate any delays or issues to the Production Supervisor promptly

Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory):
* Experience with photoresist or screen printing.
* Familiarity with lab or cleanroom environments
* Chemical handling certification
