Overview
Our client is one of Sydney's premier Commercial Flooring companies with a reputation for delivering excellence to their clients in both product and service.
The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for predominately the costing, set-up, supervision and completion of commercial flooring projects mainly in the Sydney metro region with the occasional project north or south of Sydney.
Responsibilities
* Cost planning of future projects and tracking bids.
* Managing variations on live projects.
* Estimating or reviewing estimations on Measure Square flooring program to generate a bid.
* Generating purchase orders with regards to suppliers and contractors.
* The set-up of commercial sites for the commencement of projects including safety documents.
* Supervision of sub-contractors throughout the project.
* Coordination with team members and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries to projects.
* Liaising with contractors, builders and suppliers as required to achieve a successful outcome.
* Working with team members to ensure sites are clean, tidy and defect free on completion.
* Issuing handover documents on completion of the project to clients.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in the flooring industry or similar such as being an ex-installer or previous management roles (can come from either commercial or residential background).
* Experience in coordinating flooring installation projects or similar.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Exceptional customer relationship skills.
* Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Effectively prioritise workload.
* Fluent in Excel and Microsoft programs.
* Computer literate and extensive knowledge of Xero or purchasing style software.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, installers and sub-contractors.
* White Card.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Forklift licence preferable.
