About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a hospitality service assistant in Mildura. Our modern care home is situated in the heart of Mildura, Victoria, surrounded by lakes and the Murray River.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in catering, food services, or cleaning and will be passionate about delivering excellent support to our residents. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing effective assistance with hospitality functions including catering, cleaning, and laundry
* Maintaining legislated workplace health, safety, quality, and hygiene standards
* Completing required documentation and reporting
* Responding to residents' queries and requests
* Performing laundry duties, including loading washers, dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen
* Assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing
* Performing cleaning duties, including general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas
Requirements:
* Previous experience in catering, food services, or cleaning is preferred but not essential
* A team player who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
