**About the Role**
In addition to direct customer service, the Learning and Development Librarians will play a key role in supporting the professional growth of library staff. This includes coordinating training programs, conducting in-house training, and leading coaching sessions. The role also involves overseeing inductions for new library staff, guiding students pursuing qualifications in Library and Information Services through tours and industry placements and contributing to collection maintenance. This position is perfect for someone passionate about both community service and staff development, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, learning-focused environment.
**What you will bring to the Role**
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in librarianship or equivalent
- Ability to support, develop, and deliver effective training and professional development for staff.
- Proven ability to use a positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and effectively manage challenging situations to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with strong skills in time management, planning, and organising own work.
- Demonstrated ability to provide services and programs to all sections of the community, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and people with disabilities.
- Eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) is desirable
