It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for just that person with 3 months or more experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the Redfern 2016 area.

What we're looking for
We are looking for people who:
* Enjoy having variety in their day.
* Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
* Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
* Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
In addition, you will need:
* An Open Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
* 3 months or more in a similar role.
The role
In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:
* General housekeeping and making beds.
* Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
* Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
* Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:
* Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
* Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
* Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
* Providing social and emotional support.
* Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
* Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
