About the Role
In this role, you will coordinate and conduct detailed data analysis, provide actionable insights, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support evidence-based outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inferential statistical analysis across multiple datasets to support briefings, reports, submissions, and policy papers
Communicate key findings clearly through well-structured written and verbal reports and provide timely, accurate advice to stakeholders with varied levels of statistical literacy
Manage data extraction, quality assurance, and data governance in partnership with other agencies
Apply critical thinking to complex datasets to generate insights – beyond just presenting numbers
Support development of internal data analytics capability, including templates, resources, and training materials
Contribute to project design and carry out both quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform policy and project decisions
Key Challenges
Balancing competing priorities within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Using initiative and sound judgement when working with incomplete or imperfect datasets
Delivering high-quality work within tight and evolving timeframes
About You
You will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical ability and the confidence to work with complex datasets.
You enjoy stakeholder engagement, understand data governance, and can present findings that are clear, concise, and accessible.
Essential Requirements
Experience with SPSS, R, STATA or SAS
Strong background in statistical analysis and data interpretation
Ability to translate complex findings into meaningful insights for diverse audiences
Experience working with large or multi-source datasets
Government or regulated-sector experience (highly desirable)
