Home Care Worker opportunities in the Northern Beaches with Silverchain. We are seeking a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months’ experience in a similar role to join our team. You will work across Manly, Newport, Avalon, Forestville, Seaforth and other areas in the Northern Beaches region for TRANSPAC clients. TRANSPAC is a short-term restorative care program supporting clients to transition home after long-term hospitalisation.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Open Australian Driver's Licence and own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support in Ageing.
- Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
- Proof of vaccination against Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chickenpox), Influenza and COVID-19.
The Role
- Provide personal care services to aged care clients, for example helping clients get out of bed, shower, and dress for the day.
- Assist clients with medications, mobility and therapy goals.
- Provide complex care for clients with high-care needs (e.g., dementia).
- Offer social and emotional support and transport to activities or appointments.
- Support family carers by giving them a break when needed.
- As a TRANSPAC Care Worker, perform home help services as a minimal portion of your roster (general housekeeping duties, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping).
