Their core focus is designing, building, owning, and operating solar and battery energy storage systems, along with integrated energy solutions that support their customers' transition to net zero. Role Responsibilities: Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the commercial and industrial energy sector Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to signed contract Develop and present tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client sustainability and financial goals Prepare and coordinate compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for solar and energy storage projects Lead commercial negotiations and secure contracts in line with strategic objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including sustainability leads, CFOs, and operational teams Collaborate with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically and commercially viable Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and regularly report on sales performance Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends to inform strategy and positioning Ensure smooth transition of signed projects to the delivery team, maintaining client confidence throughout the process About you: Demonstrated success in business development or sales in the renewable energy, commercial solar, or battery storage sectors Experience selling to commercial and industrial clients with a strong understanding of their operational and sustainability drivers Skilled in managing complex sales processes including tenders, financial modelling, proposal writing, and contract negotiation Ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and commercially compelling way Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proficiency in CRM systems Experience with embedded networks, microgrids, or behind-the-meter energy solutions Familiarity with relevant Australian energy market regulations, policy incentives, and renewable energy frameworks Background in working within or alongside engineering, delivery, or asset management teams Next Steps: If you are an energy professional with proven experience selling Solar & BESS to C&I; businesses this is the role for you.
