Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (SA) Aboriginal Corporation (ADAC) offers a range of alcohol and drug harm minimisation and treatment programs to Aboriginal and other vulnerable people in our regions of service. Our programs provide support to clients who live or come from South Australia and are experiencing problems caused by alcohol and drug use.
About the Lemongrass Project
The Lemongrass Project helps Aboriginal offenders transition from prison back into community. The program focuses on supporting people with alcohol and other drug challenges, helping them reconnect with services, culture, family and community so they can move forward positively.
About the Role
This is a part-time position (0.6 FTE) responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Lemongrass project. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organised, and being the "go-to" person for the team. This roles offers a good opportunity for someone starting out or looking at venturing into the community services sector.
What you'll be doing
You will support the Centre by:
* Being the first point of contact for clients, visitors and staff
* Responding to phone and email enquiries professionally
* Managing filing systems, client records and data entry
* Maintaining diaries, appointments and office supplies
* Assisting the project coordinator and case manager with their day-day tasks
* Coordinating mail, messages and general office support
* Assisting with reporting, administrative procedures and general office tasks
* Supporting quality, safety and organisational guidelines
About you
We would love to hear from you if you:
* Have great customer service and communication skills
* Are confident with computers, data entry and general office tasks
* Can stay organised, manage competing tasks and maintain confidentiality
* Enjoy working in a supportive team and contributing to community wellbeing
* Have experience in administration
* Valid driver's licence, Working with Vulnerable People Clearance and Working With Children Clearance.
