About the Role:

Two exciting opportunities exist for two experienced Sleep Scientists to join the Allied Health Respiratory and Sleep Medicine team. These positions will involve working a combination of day, evening and overnight shifts.

Within CHS, the sleep science profession is part of the Clinical Measurement Science (CMS) disciplines. The CMS disciplines are cardiac, neurophysiology, respiratory and sleep sciences. Scientific staff employed across CMS work under a collective vision Clinical Measurement Science professionals deliver compassionate service through collaboration and excellence.

The two successful candidates will need subject matter expertise and confidently be able to conduct routine and assist in complex polysomnography, and positive airways pressure therapy management according to procedures and standards for adult populations. You will also be conducting research/ quality management and change management projects that will have a positive impact on patient outcomes, whilst maintaining and developing evidence-based, patient centred clinical practice. You will be required to undertake continuing professional development programs within the sleep science group and will be supporting development of clinical guidelines and procedures. These positions also require staff and student clinical supervision and education.

* Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
* Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
