About the position
La Trobe Rural Health School (LRHS) is Australia's largest rural health school, with campuses in Bendigo, Mildura, Shepparton, and Albury-Wodonga. We offer a wide range of health programs and are committed to improving rural health and wellbeing through graduates and research.
Our Speech Pathology programs include the Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours), delivered at Melbourne and Bendigo. You will lead curriculum development, deliver engaging teaching, and pursue scholarly work to advance education in your professional field.
Some of your duties will include
Develop, coordinate and teach a high-quality learning experience that engages students through tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or studio sessions.
Keep abreast of innovations in teaching and learning, including online and blended delivery, and incorporate where appropriate to continually develop professional practice skills, knowledge and expertise.
Participate in innovative course-level curriculum design, development and review.
Coordinate subjects and/or instances of subjects within the course offerings for Speech Pathology or related to clinical practice.
Implement and evaluate innovative methods to deliver speech pathology related teaching content to develop entry-level speech pathologists.
Skills & Experience
Masters or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the university/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
Demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development.
High level organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
Demonstrated clinical experience as a speech pathologist.
Clear understanding of the accreditation requirements and skill capabilities of an entry-level speech pathologist.
