This full-time role is for applicants with experience in, and a well-developed knowledge of cheese at our beautiful West Hobart store.
As a Cheese Department Team Member, you will:
* Showcase your cheese knowledge by displaying and selling Tasmania's best range of fine local and international products
* Create visually enticing displays to encourage customers to sample and learn about cheese
* Keep displays replenished and fresh
* Cut, wrap and price cheeses
If you have experience working with cheese (within retail, hospitality, production, or as a cook, chef deli assistant or cheese monger) and are available during the daytime, we would love to hear from you
You will need:
* Experience working with cheese is desirable.
* A friendly attitude and good communication skills, to provide the attentive customer service Hill Street is known for.
* Energy, initiative and a positive mindset, as well as a love of working with food and people.
* The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
* Ongoing daytime availability on at least 3-4 days per week and every second weekend. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility to suit your needs.
* Physical fitness for lifting and standing.

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The base hourly pay rates for level adults are:
Full time & part time
* Weekdays $26.55
* Saturday $33.19
* Sunday $39.83
Additional penalty rates apply to public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts.
