Product Consultant Role

Key Responsibilities
* Provide product and application expertise to sales teams and dealers to support prime product and work tool sales execution and alignment.
* Support Product Group and New Product Introduction Managers during various phases, including voice of the customer collection/communication, functional specifications development, and critical customer requirements.
* Engage in competitive tests and analysis.
What You'll Do
1. Support sales execution and provide product and application expertise.
2. Develop and deliver product and application training to field reps, dealers, and customers.
3. Identify, manage, and report on competitive performance studies, feature/benefit comparisons, and maintenance and repair cost analysis.
4. Provide input to product development activities.
5. Assist in defining and placing value on new product features, functional and technical specifications, and general product requirements.
6. Provide industry-specific trends based on customers' operational data and benchmarking.
7. Respond to dealer requests and product queries in a timely manner.
8. Support trade shows as the face of Caterpillar representing BCP CORE Products.
9. Arrange transportation for all BCP CORE products related to Expos, Training, and competitive rental machines.
10. Manage the loan account for regional requirements, ensuring new machines are ordered correctly and managing the sale and disposal of existing units.

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree.
* Job-related experience within an engineering, product group, industry, product marketing or sales support background.
* A broad knowledge and understanding of Caterpillar products, commercial strategies, dealer operations, and capabilities.
* Language skills will be a bonus.
* Experience interacting with Caterpillar's dealer network either in an industry or product support capacity.
