Singleton has developed into the economic beating heart of the State and a centre of industry, heritage, tourism and community.Here at Council, we offer a wide range of services, supporting our community vision to be vibrant, progressive, connected, sustainable and resilient.We’re committed to providing an environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute their unique skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact, while also recognising and appreciating your valuable contributions and ensuring you feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.ADD VALUE - THE ROLEThe Cadet Engineer - Water and Sewer is responsible for assisting the Utilities Engineering Team and Strategy and Compliance Team to provide engineering services across capital works, operational support, asset management, development engineering and strategic planning.Key responsibilities include;Assist in the planning, investigation and management of the delivery of capital projectsAssist in assessments for new developmentsAssist in the development and management of long-term operating and capital budgetsAssist in undertaking analysis and modelling of infrastructure data and records using Council’s corporate Asset Management Information SystemAssist in the development and maintenance of water and sewer models that support water and sewer network capital works planning and developmentThis position is offered on a temporary basis (up to 2-year cadetship) working up to 35 hours per week. To be considered for this role you will need to be currently enrolled, and studying in a Degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical) in yoursecond last or final year.
