About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our Adelaide-based team. You will provide professional IT support both remotely and onsite, working with a diverse range of technologies and customers.
This position reports to the Lead Engineer and requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver excellent customer service. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to continuous improvement, and work with a energetic, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide remote, phone, and onsite support to clients for a variety of technical issues.
· Deploy and configure full IT infrastructure setups from the ground up, including servers, firewalls, and networking equipment at client sites and data centres.
· Configure and maintain systems, software, and network devices such as routers and switches.
· Develop automated workflows using Microsoft Forms and Power Automate to improve efficiency and streamline internal processes.
· Provide technical guidance on IT implementations tailored to meet client business needs.
· Assist in implementing IT strategies, network policies, and disaster recovery plans aligned with client requirements.
· Troubleshoot and maintain environments including:
o Active Directory and Azure AD
o Exchange and Office 365
o Windows Server (2003–2019) and Windows Desktop (7–11)
o VMware
o Networking fundamentals and VOIP (3CX)
· Support backup systems (Veeam, Altaro) and assist with infrastructure related to storage, VLANs, routing, and firewalls (preferably Cisco).
· Provide escalation support to Level 1 technicians and assist in closing out complex cases.
· Travel to client sites within the Adelaide metropolitan area as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor degree in IT (or related field), or at least 5 years of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for the formal qualification
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in a Level 2 support role.
- Proven experience supporting a range of IT environments, including both customer and internal systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage escalations independently.
Desirable:
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
- Experience deploying systems across VMware, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or InTune.
- Knowledge of SQL database maintenance and general ERP systems.
