Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Account Director located in Cremorne, VIC, with work-from-home flexibility.
As an Account Director, you are a strategic leader in the The Pistol business. You are a point of escalation, mentorship, and education for the Account Teams.
The Account Director is responsible for 3 key areas; Client Retention and Growth, Strategic Development and Team Development:
* Client Retention and Growth:
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels across your client portfolio with a focus on building trust and rapport. Identify opportunities for growth among your client portfolio and continuously apply innovations, sell in projects and increase retainers.
- Strategic Development:
Challenge and lead the strategic thinking of your Account Teams, and encourage them to think differently, innovate, and leverage new tools available. All strategic development should be aligned to achieving the clients' KPIs and tangible business outcomes.
- Team Development:
Account Directors are responsible for the professional development of Account Managers, Account Executives, and any other direct reports through the development of progression plans, training, and mentorship. You must be approachable and trustworthy.
Key Accountabilities
* Client Management:
Effectively manage your client portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor to clients to deliver not only the scope, but also to identify growth opportunities to scale their business and deliver value.
- Client Strategy: Support the team in the development of best in class strategies that incorporate our core business focus of driving business impact, to achieve tangible outcomes for the client portfolio.
- Profitability:
Retain and improve profitability of existing clients. Manage portfolio P&L, improve processes, and address financial inefficiencies.
- Team Management:
Manage a team of AMs and AEs, supporting them in managing workloads, prioritising in line with impact, and collaborating on key projects and deliverables.
- Personal and Team Development:
Actively contribute to your own development and foster a team environment that encourages open dialogue, honest communication, and a focus on personal development.
Skills & Qualifications:
* 6+ years of advertising or marketing industry experience
* Marketing / advertising experience within the fashion / retail industry is preferred
* Relationship building and client management skills
* Experience with managing a team
* Omnichannel media planning and campaign execution experience (digital channel experience a must, offline experience preferred)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights that drive business outcomes
