The Organisation:
A national manufacturing organisation is looking for a commercially astute Management Accountant with strong commercial acumen and the ability to get behind key cost drivers. This highly respected organisation has a strong product range and has been able to achieve impressive product penetration across Australia. Due to an internal project, an opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join the team to support for 6 months. You will be reporting into an experienced Finance Manager who is well respected across the business and has played a key part in getting a new product to market.
The Position:
This Management Accountant role will provide you with autonomy and variety. You will be managing monthly budgets and forecasts. You will also be preparing and delivering key reports and analysis, and supporting the business to deliver appropriate service standards in their respective areas. You will also be responsible for managing annual budgeting and forecasting and preparation of full-year P&L forecasts (quarterly), including analysis & commentary against budget.
Your Profile:
To truly thrive in this role, you will need to be extremely strong at budgeting, forecasting and analysis work. You should be competent interpreting data to get behind the key cost drivers in the business. Your ability to support non-accounting personnel to better understand their budgets to improve costs and drive efficiencies will be critical. You should also have strong Excel skills. You should ideally be CPA or CA qualified. You will enjoy working in a supportive, open and inclusive, team-based environment. You will have experience in ERP systems along with deep and broad budgeting and analysis experience.
