The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist/Neuropsychologist (Mental Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Utilise clinical skills in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology specifically
* Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation group programs for consumers
* Develop increasing knowledge and clinical skill in utilising evidence based psychological assessment and treatment interventions for consumers
* Participate in quality activities and research related to mental health
* Provide routine clinical services and advice related to the psychological management of mental health consumers.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A tertiary degree in Psychology
* AHPRA Registration
* Driver Licence
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent full time
* Base salary ranging from $79,051 - $116,189 per annum
About Us
The Adult and Orchid Older Persons Mental Health Acute Inpatient units provide specialist, acute and inpatient mental health services for consumers 65 years onwards, as an inpatient service at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
The Adult and Older Adult Inpatient Units aim to:
* Promote consumer recovery with respect, compassion, and professional integrity
* Provide professional care that abides by and demonstrates the professional codes
* Continue to develop a cohesive, professional, and dynamic multidisciplinary team
* Provide mental health services as part of a continuum of care, with excellent liaison between the units and community services marked by strong collaborative relationships.
