Location: Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. This role is located at the Anderson Point offices.
Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Off- FIFO ex Perth or Residentially based in Port Hedland
Reporting to the Electrical Projects Coordinator, this role is responsible for the successful planning and delivery of electrical projects at Fortescue's Anderson Point Port Facility. We are seeking a highly experienced professional with strong design capability and project management expertise who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Reliability teams to ensure clear understanding of project scope and requirements
* Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and timelines
* Engage key stakeholders and chair regular project update meetings
* Ensure compliance with Fortescue's project framework, work management, and shutdown processes
* Raise and manage notifications and data within SAP
* Lead tendering activities, vendor engagement, and contract reviews
* Partner with procurement and commercial teams as required
* Source, order, and track long-lead-time materials
* Participate in contractor, planning, and shutdown execution meetings
* Manage project execution both on-site and off-site, including roster changes during execution phases and potential night shift work
* Monitor, track, and reforecast project budgets in collaboration with cost controllers
* Attend contractor compliance and performance review meetings
* Maintain and update master data, inspection checklists, redlines, and associated documentation
* Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
* Manage and reduce Work Order backlog
* Close out projects upon completion, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
* Maintain compliance with Engineering Department performance KPIs
Qualifications and Experience
* 2–5 years' experience in a Mining or Heavy Industrial environment
* 5–10 years' experience in Project Management
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* SAP experience (preferred)
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint)
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to positively influence teams
* Commitment to safe work practices, including conducting field interactions
* Ability to support teams with SAP, MS Office, and general systems training
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact at all levels
* Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
* Proven ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
* Current Driver's Licence
