Overview
Wood delivers maintenance and turnaround services for the Ampol Lytton Refinery and is seeking experienced Welders for the upcoming mid-year FCCU shutdown. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-performing team working on a major refinery event, commencing at the beginning of June for approximately 8 weeks. This short-term role offers strong EBA benefits and rates, all while allowing you to remain based at home. Penalty rates apply. As this is a Brisbane-based role, locally based applicants are preferred at this time; however, consideration will be given to those living outside of Southeast Queensland with the required skillset and experience. Qualifications
* Welding tickets 4, 5 and 7 (desirable)
* Pipe welding – Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Chromoly; MMAW, GTAW, FCAW experience
* Proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
* Previous Shutdown/T&I experience is a definite advantage
* Trade qualified and working within a heavy industry environment for at least 5 years
* In-date current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets to work on the Shutdown; validity 3 years from date of issue, not expiring before mid-August 2026
* Must be available to pass a Wood medical after providing the required certificates, safety tickets and driver's licence to MyPass
