Vehicle Body Repair/Fabricator
Mile End SA offers a unique opportunity to support the Bodyshop with repairs following accidents and impacts on our bus fleet, including maintenance and repairs, fabrication of sections and components from various materials.
The primary role of this position is to work on a modern well-maintained fleet of vehicles, including Diesel Gas Hybrid buses from Scania MAN Mercedes Volvo and Iveco, to ensure safe efficient service to the community.
To succeed in this role you will need relevant trade certificate organised ability to prioritise work tasks demonstrated experience in fabrication body repairs of collision damage general repairs cutting shaping grinding sheet metal fibreglass plastic to create panels trucks coaches buses caravans beneficial taking pride in your workmanship.
You will also have fitting assembly experience installing components trim such as door handles locks hinges floor coverings linings working with various fabrics and materials to size stitch together to form coverings for vehicle interiors interpreting drawings specifications engineering plans knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace excellent communication skills proven ability to work independently great customer service skills for internal stakeholders.
