The Data and Artificial Intelligence (DAI) team empowers agencies to tackle challenges using advanced analytics and data-driven insights. Within this team, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Unit leads projects to improve service delivery and promote innovation across the Queensland Government. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping the design, configuration, evaluation, and ongoing development of technical services. You’ll bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, enabling impactful outcomes through strategic data and AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and documentation of business processes, procedures, and solution designs. Critically analyse information and elicit requirements to define and document new business opportunities. Conduct business process improvement analyses using modelling tools to recommend optimisations aligned with government strategies. Facilitate collaboration between business units, technology teams, and support teams to ensure solution alignment with business goals. Identify opportunities through strategic and financial analysis and contribute to the development of business cases. Research and review complex issues and proposals, identifying key impacts on service delivery and operations. Engage and consult across departments and agencies to produce program documentation including cost-benefit analysis. Liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in recommended solutions. About You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Proven experience in high-profile projects, particularly in technology integration or business transformation initiatives. Strong skills in preparing comprehensive documentation, including business cases, reports, and change artefacts. A consultative approach with the ability to influence, negotiate, and facilitate effectively. Advanced stakeholder engagement capabilities and the confidence to communicate with senior leaders.
