Overview
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of the company's vessels.
Responsible for managing maintenance crews, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing fleet performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for marine vessels, including scheduled servicing and emergency repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Ensure compliance with maritime safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with vessel crews, management, and external contractors to ensure seamless vessel operations.
Ensure all maintenance activities are documented properly and reports are submitted timely.
Proficiency with MARAD
Qualifications
Proven experience in marine maintenance or related field.
Knowledge of marine safety standards, regulations, and environmental policies.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a technical and fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, MED 1, or Class 3 Engineer) preferred.
