About The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a large and dynamic occupational therapy department for the provision of clinical supervision, teaching and co-ordination of educational activities for students on clinical placements. The occupational therapy department takes on average 60 students per year and offers well established and strong programs for students' induction and education.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for the coordination of all undergraduate occupational therapy and allied health assistant placements and liaising with relevant universities and registered training organisations. Provide direct supervision of occupational therapy students as well as providing support, resources and upskilling of staff who are supervising students. Carry a clinical caseload and be responsible for various responsibilities including administrative tasks, participation in clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and service development.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of NSW, Western Sydney University, the Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research, and the University of Wollongong. It provides an active education programme for medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

Qualifications
* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated recent and varied experience in clinical student supervision and/or staff supervision.
* Demonstration of an understanding of adult learning styles and teaching methods.
* Demonstrated excellent organisational, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated high level clinical expertise and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in Occupational Therapy.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those with a C-Class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C-Class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
