The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide executive support to two AER leaders and administrative and secretariat support to AER committees, branches, and projects.
The successful candidate will have experience in providing leadership, guidance, and support to a substantive employee, as well as high-level executive support to senior leaders. They will also have a demonstrated collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain productive relationships with staff of all levels.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-level executive support to senior executives and Board members, including inbox management and diary management, with discretion, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Maintaining productive relationships with staff across the AER and with stakeholders to support effective workflows and ways of working.
- Providing secretariat support for meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes, liaising with staff across the business to collate papers, managing invitations and RSVPs, arranging meeting rooms, video conference bookings, and catering.
- Providing supervision and line management to an APS4 Administrative Assistant.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in providing leadership, guidance, and support to a substantive employee.
- Experience in providing high-level executive support to senior leaders, including inbox management and diary management, with discretion and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated cooperative attitude and strong communications skills, with the ability to maintain productive relationships with staff of all levels to support effective workflows.
- Proven ability to proactively assess and prioritize multiple competing tasks, and a resilient, adaptive mindset.
- Clear, concise, and articulate oral and written communication with a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes.
The AER offers a salary range of $89,946 - $95,374 (plus 15.4% superannuation) and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
