* $107,371 to $124,606 per annum (HEO8)

About the role
As the Technical Lead/Solutions Architect for the Admissions Tactical Quick Wins project, you will provide technical leadership to the project team, designing solutions within project boundaries and liaising with technical experts across the directorate to deliver program objectives. You will establish the technical foundation of the project, including API design, system integration patterns, and the overall technical roadmap while working collaboratively with UNE Enterprise Architecture Services, UNE Data Services team, and vendors to ensure delivery of a unified, scalable solution aligned with UNE's data governance standards. You will champion agile delivery methodologies and with the Program Manager foster a culture of high-performance focused on technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing AI-enabled solutions for the admissions platform
* Establishing technical frameworks for AI rule processing with a focus on 95% accuracy targets
* Creating secure deployment patterns and effective monitoring systems
* Ensuring proper technical integration between UAC Connect, Enterprise Admissions Service, and Callista
* Providing technical direction to Project Business Analysts in a matrix team environment
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Strong technical architecture and system integration expertise
* Experience with RESTful API development, data modelling, and enterprise integration patterns
* Experience with AI implementation technologies in a Microsoft Azure or Oracle cloud environment
* Demonstrated ability to design scalable backend systems that support large language models
* Proficiency with reporting and data visualization tools, such as PowerBI and Power Query
* Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts across diverse organizational groups.
