Support Role Overview
We're seeking a Campus Support Assistant to join our team, providing essential support services for students at our Nambour campus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Learning Support Teachers to provide consistency and reinforcement of strategies developed by them.
* Engage in student-centred practice, upholding dignity, respect, and unconditional positive regard in daily interactions.
* Show flexibility in adapting support across academic, social, and self-care contexts.
* Demonstrate a professional learning mindset, being open to training in key programs and strategies.
* Support release time effectively for Learning Support Teachers.
* Provide respectful support tailored to student needs, maintaining confidentiality and upholding their dignity at all times.
* Understand and use AAC, visuals, and strategies for supporting expressive/receptive language.
