About the role:
Perform general and specialized food preparation and cooking duties.
Assist the Executive Chef, Sous chef and Chef de Partie ensuring a consistently high quality of food product and service while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area.
Duties:
Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards.
Ensure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledged and variations created.
Be aware of meal times and the importance of speed, time, efficiency and presentation of all meals.
Mentor Apprentices, Commis and Cooks to ensure all items are prepared in line with the menu and Food Safety regulations
Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with Food Safety regulations.
Skills and Experience:
Commercial Cookery Qualifications and previous Commis Chef Experience
Team Player, able to work unsupervised
Must be available to work on any day including weekends and nights
