About the role
As a Service Advisor at CMV Truck and Bus Albury/Wodonga, you play a vital role in representing the brand and guiding customers through their service journey, from booking to completion. Your focus on delivering exceptional customer service ensures a smooth, professional, and personalised experience that builds loyalty and trust. You'll use your skills and knowledge to accurately assess customer needs, communicate clearly with the workshop, and manage expectations around timelines and costs. This front‑line position requires collaboration with Technicians, Parts teams, and Service managers, while upholding CMV's expectations of excellence in every interaction. This is a full‑time position working Monday – Friday with a Saturday roster.
Main Responsibilities
* Warmly greet and assist customers in person and over the phone, accurately identifying their vehicle service needs.
* Document customer concerns thoroughly and clearly via repair orders, defining the exact scope and nature of the work required.
* Schedule service appointments that balance customer convenience with workshop capacity and availability.
* Provide clear and transparent explanations of estimated service times, costs, and payment methods.
* Coordinate all repair and maintenance services, ensuring customers fully understand any applicable warranty conditions, DISCLAIMERS, or required authorisations.
* Present tailored service offers to customers, promoting additional services, parts, or benefits that enhance their vehicle's performance and value.
* Review and verify the accuracy of customer and vehicle information, making corrections where necessary to ensure data integrity.
What you will need to succeed
* Previous experience in a Service Advisor role (Automotive/truck industry experience is preferred)
* Genuine desire to help others and solve problems
* A calm, polite, positive and empathetic approach – even under pressure
* Exceptional Customer Service skills
* Confidence, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
* Proficiency with repair order systems and basic computer applications.
* A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
