* Role Overview

This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local people. As an Australian Government Job Coordinator, you will be working in partnership with business and communities to support local workforce needs in the Kalgoorlie Region.

You will be based in the Kalgoorlie region, with a focus on making sure local needs are addressed, and local voices inform government policy and programs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the employment priorities of the region by building and sustaining productive and collaborative working relationships with employment service providers, training and industry providers, peak body organisations, employers, community organisations and education providers.
* Driving engagement and discussion between Australian Government agencies, state government, councils and community-based organisations to understand what the community needs to deliver effective employment and skills initiatives.
* Collating and sharing relevant information and evidence with the Department to support employment services reform.
* Based on your understanding of community needs, driving initiatives, providing advice and informing policy development so that government initiatives work for and make a practical difference to those who need it.

Key Skills and Qualifications

* A high level of self-sufficiency and initiative as well as a passion for helping people to collaborate and deliver outcomes for their community.
* A driver's licence and home internet are essential for this role.
* A Working with Vulnerable People check (or ability to attain one) is also required.

Working Arrangements

The position requires a physical presence in the region, with the successful candidate expected to be available for face-to-face meetings and community engagements with stakeholders at least four days a week.

The role may require some out-of-hours work within the region, but you will be provided with the tools of the trade to work remotely, including a mobile phone, laptop and access to a car.
