We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Grafton
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible while providing compassionate, person-centred care. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and have a sound understanding of physical, psychosocial, neurological, and cognitive disabilities.
* Assist clients with personal care (e.g., showering, toileting) and daily living activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
* Provide mobility support and manual handling assistance when needed.
* Plan and facilitate recreational activities to promote client engagement and socialization.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients by following health and safety guidelines and providing first aid when necessary.
* Document client progress and provide updates on health and wellbeing.
* Offer emotional support and build trusting, positive relationships with clients.
* Transport clients to appointments and community activities, ensuring their participation in social events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Mandatory Health Vaccines: Flu vaccine and COVID-19 (3 doses).
* Training & Certifications: Manual Handling, Elder Abuse Prevention, Infection Control, Food Handling, First Aid & CPR.
* NDIS Modules: Completion of NDIS New Workers Module and NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
* Clearances: Police Check, NDIS Worker Clearance, and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* Other Requirements: 2x Employment References, valid driver's license, and comprehensive car insurance.
Salary Guide:
* $35 - $44 per hour (depending on experience)
