About the Position:
* Plan and organize the preparation and cooking of food, specializing in authentic Indian cuisine.
* Design and develop menus in consultation with management, incorporating traditional Indian dishes and seasonal specials.
* Estimate food and labour costs to maintain efficiency and profitability.
* Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a collaborative and productive team environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
* Order and inspect food supplies, managing inventory to minimize waste.
* Demonstrate techniques and provide guidance on Indian cooking methods, including spice blending and tandoor operations.
