Network Performance Engineer Position
We are seeking a seasoned Network Performance Engineer to lead performance and reliability across our NBN and Opticomm networks.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in large-scale Layer 2 networks and Cumulus Linux environments, as well as hands-on experience with BNG operations, subscriber QoS, and policy enforcement.
This is an opportunity for a senior engineer to drive availability, scalability, and customer experience through their skills in network optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and optimize access across NBN POIs and Opticomm hubs
* Design resilient Layer 2 segmentation using VLAN, QinQ, LACP, and MLAG on Cumulus Linux
* Build and maintain in-house Linux network services and automation using Ansible and Git
* Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance with advanced telemetry, observability, and packet analysis tools
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in ISP access/aggregation operations
* Strong NBN/Opticomm exposure
* Expertise in large-scale Layer 2 networks and Cumulus Linux environments
* Hands-on experience with BNG operations, subscriber QoS, and policy enforcement
* Proficiency in Linux networking, automation (Ansible, scripting), and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Graylog)
