As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Java‑based applications. You will work closely with senior developers, architects, business analysts, and cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality software solutions aligned to business requirements.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).
What You'll Do
* Design, develop, test, and maintain Java‑based applications in line with best engineering practices.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
* Build and integrate APIs, work with databases, and ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
* Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support application deployment, production releases, and post‑production maintenance.
What You'll Bring
* 2–4 years of hands‑on professional experience in Java application development.
* Proficiency in Core Java and object‑oriented programming principles.
* Hands‑on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks.
* Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures.
* Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and version control systems such as Git.
* Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker).
