**About the role**
Key role within our Commercial Aviation Business as you manage the HSSE, financial and operational performance of the Viva Aviation regional network, assets and agents at the commercial and business development interface.
Key responsibilities attached to the role will include;
- HSSE oversight of regional aviation network and contracted aviation agents, utilizing Viva aviation assets, procedures and competences in line with the Company HSSE Management System
- Assures availability of equipment and resources through adherence to Asset Integrity program and safety-critical training of operational personnel.
- Responsible for the close out of compliance and improvement items identified through LoD program and on-site reporting.
- Maintains cross-business engagement between aviation agents, supply chain logistics and commercial teams through regular forums, 'excellence engagements' and assurance activities, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Viva Aviation network.
- Maintains a strong customer focus in line with Viva Aviation commercial goals and customer expectations concerning safety and on-time performance.
- Responsible for meeting budget for the operational sites under their assigned scope, including monthly reporting and the identification and realization of cost improvement initiatives via the MoC and capex approval processes.
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities via regular interaction with operational personnel, airport management and the broader commercial team, and ensuring a cohesive collaboration between commercial (pricing) and operations (service expectations) teams.
- Requirement to develop knowledge of aviation pricing (particularly General Aviation), digital and customer experience capabilities and sustainability options as part of the aviation marketing effort.
- Responsible airport and stakeholder relationship for established, business development and key customer growth and network expansion, collaborating with Viva Engineering, Real Estate and advisory teams to help meet aviation initiative goals.
This role would typically require a significant amount of travel to operational sites, airports and customer locations across Australia.
**Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications - business, commerce or technical degree/certificate
- Experience with HSSE Management Systems and Assurance
- Experience with aviation and hydrocarbon supply chain operations a distinct advantage - JIG, LoD, MoC, LMS and other
- Experience in budget analysis and planning
- Understanding of commercial pricing and contract management/procurement
- Effective team leadership and customer interaction skills in person and virtually.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills using Excel and other formats.
- Knowledge of carbon emissions reduction concepts, challenges, mitigation options and their relative costs and availability.
