We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Coupled Pickled Cold Mill (CPCM) Asset Team.
The CPCM is a highly automated processing line using a blend of old and new technology. It's towards the end of the steel-making process with the primary purpose of strip thickness reduction in preparation for downstream steel coating processes.
This role will involve performing maintenance on the CPCM as required, while being directly involved in planning maintenance with our maintenance coordinators.
Key Responsibilities
* Isolate equipment for shutdown works as part of the mechanical team
* Fault find and inspect quality and production critical equipment
* Perform mechanical maintenance within the CPCM daily and during shutdowns
* Contribute to the team with out-of-hours support as required
* Participate in continuous improvement of maintenance practices
Requirements
* Mechanical fitter/machinist qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma
* Experience in a heavy industrial environment
* Exposure to maintenance management systems and/or basic computer skills
* Enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the role
