Art Gallery – Professional Level 5 – Part‐Time (0.5 FTE / 18.13 hrs per week) ongoing appointment.

Salary: Level 5, $77,710 – $87,573 per annum, plus up to 17% employer superannuation.

About the Role

With the UniSC Art Gallery revitalised in 2020, the gallery has become a leading public institution in the region. The Exhibitions and Programs Officer will work closely with the Manager, Art Gallery to design, deliver and support exhibitions and public programmes that engage diverse communities. This role requires creativity, organisational skill and a dedication to making contemporary art accessible.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, installation and maintenance of exhibitions.
• Plan and execute events that make contemporary art accessible.
• Assist in the safe handling of artworks to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in the gallery/museum sector.
• Demonstrated experience working in a gallery/museum with sound knowledge of exhibition delivery.
• Experience in project coordination, including planning projects effectively and achieving desired outcomes.
• Experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is desirable.
• Elevated work platform and working safely at heights qualifications are desirable.
• Possession of a current Queensland Driver's Licence is essential for this role.

Working Conditions

The UniSC Art Gallery is open six days a week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. The successful candidate may also be requested to work at other UniSC campuses or sites.
